This page explains how bluewaterbrokerage.com, operated by Bluewater Brokerage LLC, uses cookies and similar technologies. It is shorter than most cookie policies because this site does very little.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Cookies can keep you logged in, remember a preference, or, most commonly on the commercial web, follow you from site to site so advertisers can target you.
2. What this website actually does
Browsing this site sets no cookies at all. We checked. You can load the home page, read every service page, watch nothing, click nothing, and leave without a single cookie being stored on your device.
That is because we do not use:
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or any other analytics platform
- Meta/Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok pixel, or any advertising tag
- Retargeting or remarketing of any kind
- Heatmaps, session recording, or visitor identification tools
- Chat widgets or third-party marketing scripts
This is also why you have not seen a cookie consent banner here. There is nothing to consent to.
3. Cookies that can appear
Two things on the site can result in a cookie. Neither happens from ordinary browsing.
Embedded YouTube video
Some pages embed video hosted on YouTube. The player is loaded only when you click play. Once you do, YouTube and Google may set cookies on your device and collect information about your viewing, under Google’s own privacy policy rather than ours. If you would rather avoid that, do not press play, or watch the video on YouTube directly in a private browsing window.
WordPress functional cookies
This site runs on WordPress. WordPress sets cookies for people who log in to administer the site, and can set one if a visitor submits a comment. These are functional, not tracking, and a normal visitor reading the site will not receive them.
4. Google Fonts: related, but not a cookie
Our typefaces load from Google Fonts. That does not place a cookie, but it does mean your browser requests a file from a Google server, and that server sees your IP address as part of any normal web request. We mention it because it is the only routine third-party connection this site makes and we would rather over-disclose than under-disclose.
5. Managing cookies yourself
You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Look for “Cookies,” “Site data,” or “Privacy” in:
- Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies
- Safari: Settings › Privacy
- Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security
- Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions
Blocking cookies will not break anything on this site, because the site does not rely on them. It may stop an embedded video from playing.
6. If this changes
If we later add analytics or advertising tools, we will update this page, revise the date at the top, and add a consent banner where the law requires one. We will not add tracking quietly.
7. Related policies
See our Privacy Policy for what information we collect through our forms and how we handle it, and our Terms of Use for the rules governing this website.
