Bluewater Brokerage LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates bluewaterbrokerage.com. We work with pool service business owners who are considering selling, often quietly, long before they tell anyone. Discretion is the product. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and what we do not do.

1. The short version

2. Information you give us

Contact form. Our contact and valuation forms ask for your name, your email address, and your message, with an optional phone number. Only your email address is required. If you give us your phone number, we use it only to respond to your inquiry.

Newsletter signup. Our newsletter form collects an email address only.

Email and phone. If you email or call us directly, we keep that correspondence, along with any details you choose to share about your business.

During a conversation. If we begin working together, you may share financial statements, customer counts, route details, tax returns, and similar records. Section 6 covers how we handle that material.

3. Information collected automatically

Our web host keeps standard server logs, which typically record IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the date and time. These logs exist for security and troubleshooting and are not used to build a profile of you.

The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to a Google server and that server sees your IP address. This is the only routine third-party connection the site makes. Google’s handling of that request is governed by its own privacy policy.

4. What we do not collect or do

We think this is worth stating plainly, because it is unusual:

5. How we use your information

We use what you give us to:

We do not use your contact details for unrelated marketing, and we do not add people to the newsletter because they filled in the contact form.

6. Confidentiality of your business information

Most sellers who contact us have told no one. Not their staff, not their customers, not their competitors. We treat the fact of your inquiry as confidential in itself.

We do not disclose your identity, your business’s identity, or that you are considering a sale, unless you authorize it. When we present an opportunity to buyers, we do so through a blind profile that omits identifying details, and we release specifics only in stages, to buyers who have been qualified and who have signed a non-disclosure agreement.

Confidential business records you send us are used solely to evaluate and market your business as you have instructed, and are retained or returned in line with our engagement agreement with you.

7. When we share information

We share personal information only in these situations:

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. How long we keep it

We keep inquiries and correspondence for as long as needed for the purpose they were collected, and afterward as required for tax, accounting, or legal reasons. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. If you want your information deleted sooner, ask us. See Section 10.

9. Security

Our site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we limit access to inquiries and client records to the people who need them. That said, no website or email system is perfectly secure. Please do not send financial statements, tax returns, or customer lists through the website form. Wait until we have spoken and can arrange an appropriate channel.

10. Your choices and rights

Everyone. Whatever state or country you are in, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email bill@bluewaterbrokerage.com and we will respond within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may need to retain certain records where the law requires it.

Newsletter. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. You can also just reply and ask to be removed.

Florida residents. The Florida Digital Bill of Rights grants qualifying residents rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal data and of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data or conduct targeted advertising, so those opt-outs do not arise here. To exercise any other right, contact us at the address above.

California residents. If the CCPA/CPRA applies to you, you have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing, and a right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.

Do Not Track. Because we do not track visitors across websites, there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to turn off.

11. Children

This site is meant for business owners and buyers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Other websites and embedded video

Our pages link to other websites and embed video hosted on YouTube. The embedded player does not load until you click play. Once you do, YouTube may set cookies and collect data under Google’s privacy policy, not ours. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party site.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, for example if we add analytics, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be noted clearly. Please check back from time to time.
